SUMMARY:

This Food Safety & Quality Assurance (FSQA) Technician is a first shift role (5:00 AM- 2:00 PM) responsible for performing preop inspection, physical and visual inspections of equipment and plant systems, receiving deliveries & inspections, documenting and calculating results accurately; taking corrective action when necessary (alert appropriate personnel to adjust process; identify, segregate, & isolate non-conforming product) and report results to management; any additional assignments requested. All team members are responsible for safety. This includes but is not limited to personal safety and food safety.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience: Experience in the Fresh Meats industry or other QA type experience preferred.
• Communication Skills: Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Special Skills: Must possess skills to complete Tyson paperwork; ability to lead by example and motivate the hourly workforce; good problem identification and problem solving skills; math and organizational skills; ability to read and interpret product specifications; must
  function well under stress; must have flexibility to work where and when needed.
• Physical Requirements: Position involves heavy lifting (up to 70 lbs).
