Alliant Energy has an outstanding opportunity for a Fleet Administrator to join our team in Dubuque, IA! The Fleet Administrator is responsible for planning and directing programs for equipment acquisitions, equipment maintenance and repair, and disposal of fleet equipment. The Fleet Administrator also serves as the fleet systems owner, responsible for designing, implementing and evaluating reports from fleet management systems to ensure quality service and operational effectiveness.

  • This position is hybrid and has the ability to work from home and in the office.
  • Occasional day travel up to 5% of time within the service territory as need arises.
  • Positions come down at 11:00pm on deadline date.

Job Qualifications
Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree with an emphasis in business, fleet management, information technology or related area is preferred.

Required Experience:

  • 5 years of related experience.


Preferred Experience:
  • Specific experience in fleet administration


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent knowledge of the principles and practices of modern fleet management preferred.
  • Excellent knowledge of the practices, standards, procedures and tools used in the automotive and trucking industry preferred.
  • Excellent knowledge of safety rules, regulations, laws, and precautions involved in the maintenance and repair of motor vehicles and related equipment.
  • Thorough knowledge of environmental regulations, state, local, and federal codes and regulations as they relate to fleet operations and maintenance preferred.
  • Demonstrated effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to use computer software programs (e.g., e-mail, word processing, spreadsheet, and project management) SQL or Fleet Focus experience preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively in a diverse and inclusive environment.
