Job Description

Key Responsibilities and Priorities:

  • Safety is our number one priority. This role will promote safety culture through safety toolbox talks, safety committee participation, & positive reinforcement programs
  • Provide professional troubleshooting and repair services for Ancra Systems truck loading and trailer conveyor systems at customer sites
  • Participate in installation and commissioning of Ancra Systems truck loading and trailer conveyor systems at customer sites
  • Perform predictive, preventative, corrective and routine maintenance on production equipment
  • Troubleshoot and repair electro-mechanical, industrial controls, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment, or systems (Involving circuits, relay logic, wiring, motors, servo drives, etc.)
  • Troubleshoot, modify and/or repair programmable logic controllers, robotics, and other electronic equipment
  • Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical equipment and machine components
  • Assemble machines according to schematics and assembly drawings.
  • Coordinate work efforts to perform assembly from components per assembly drawings/bill of material alongside other team members
  • Attending progress meetings while at customers' facilities
  • Reporting status to management about development or any risks/issues
  • Training and coaching customer's personnel on machine features including operation, process adjustment and maintenance
  • Prepare complete service reports, timesheets, and expense reports in a timely and accurate manner by written/electronic methods
  • Ability to problem solve and continuously improve safety, quality, and productivity
  • Repair, maintain and troubleshoot CNC machines
Position Consults with:

Customers, Sales, Customer Service, and Operations.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
  • Strong electrical and mechanical knowledge and practical skills
  • Demonstrated success in troubleshooting and problem-solving
  • Technical knowledge and skills in the following areas: PLC's/industrial controls, motion/motor controls, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
  • For Electrical Technician roles only:
    • Installing various wires, connections, relays, fuses, etc.
    • Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical and electronic wiring, equipment, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools
  • Loading required parameters into electronic drives and process controllers to ensure proper operation; loading machine specific software; completing machine electrical quality check list to validate sensor and software functionality
  • Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals, mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and other specifications to determine repair method for failed components
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently
  • Self-motivated and results driven
  • Professional, clear, and concise communication skills to external and internal customers
  • Must be willing to travel on short notice and spend more than 50% of the time traveling. May be continuously away from home for as long as a month (offer travel expenses).
  • Must be willing to be available during off hours and travel accordingly.
  • Available to work overtime, holidays, weekends, and during plant shutdowns
  • Complying with the company safety policies and procedures
          Education Requirements

          Trade school graduate or two-year Associates degree in a mechanical, electrical, or mechanical technician program or equivalent industry, military, or other relevant experience.

          Working Conditions/Travel Requirements:
          • Work takes place in an industrial environment both on site at Ancra Cargo and at customers.
          • International travel will be required during onboarding.
          • Availability to travel to sites in the USA, Mexico, and Canada within 24 hours notice.
          • Fluency in English
          • Must possess a valid driver license
          • Must pass a background check
          • Must be authorized to work in the United States and able to obtain a passport
          • Ability to obtain Heavy Lift Certification and Industrial Powered Vehicles License
          • Advanced ability to read and interpret pneumatic and electrical schematics
