First Shift (United States of America)
Perform administrative, clerical, and general office duties of a more complex, highly confidential nature in support of several faculty in the Department of Pharmacology & Therapeutics. Coordinate travel, process reimbursements and order supplies; welcome and direct on-site visitors; assist with payroll processing; answer phone lines, process mail; assist Faculty with grant preparation including Biosketches and Other Support, letter drafting and proofreading; set-up and organize meetings and seminars both in person and virtual.
Required Education and Experience
Promotional Qualification RequirementsTwo (2) years of permanent full-time service in a secretarial title allocated to a Grade 5 or above.
Open Competitive Qualification Requirements1. Associate's degree and the equivalent of two (2) years of full-time secretarial or related experience; or2. High School diploma or High School Equivalency diploma and the equivalent of three (3) years of full-time secretarial or related experience.
Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.
The preferred candidate will have a background in grant proposal preparation and processing, experience with Webex and Microsoft Teams, payroll experience, be proficient in Microsoft Word and Outlook and have a working knowledge of Excel and Powerpoint. The preferred candidate will also be able to prioritize multiple tasks in a deadline driven environment, and possess excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
