About the Role

The CEO at Gap Inc is looking for an Assistant who is up for the task and can work closely and effectively with CEO, Chief of Staff and EA, to keep the CEO well informed of upcoming commitments and responsibilities, following up appropriately. This is a great opportunity to establish working relationships with high-level executives and this position offers an exciting opportunity to understand our business strategy and performance on a global scale. ​

What You'll Do

  • Develops, implements, and executes projects related to executive's area of responsibility. Identifies available resources and manages project to completion.
  • Determines appropriate matters to elevate to executive for action. Otherwise, delegates to appropriate support function or acts on behalf of executive to address.
  • Is required to decide issues which have a substantial effect on the executive's area of responsibility. Proven ability to think and act independently and with a high degree of professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Normally receives minimal supervision. Consistently works on complex assignments requiring independent action and a high degree of initiative to resolve issues.
  • May provide immediate supervision or guidance to a group of Administrative Assistants.
  • Manage department budget and associated processes.
  • Requires in-depth knowledge of company operations, policies, and procedures. Handles details of a highly confidential and critical nature. Makes high level contacts of a sensitive nature inside and outside the company.
  • Responsibilities include calendar management, making appointments, answering phones, making travel arrangements, file maintenance, maintaining and ordering office supplies and equipment, processing mail, copying, scheduling and planning meetings (meeting room, flip charts etc.), and processing expense reports.

Who You Are

  • Previous experience supporting CEO is preferred.
  • Ability to problem solve independently and through strong partnerships with business partners across the globe; thrives in a dynamic environment with a high degree of ambiguity and agility.
  • This position requires periodic availability outside of regular working hours to promptly address unforeseen situations and critical matters as they arise, ensuring seamless support to the organization's operations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate and build partnerships with all levels of management.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills are a must (particularly in Excel where pivot tables and v-lookups will be used extensively).
  • Attention to detail, strong time management, and self starter attitude are key skills for success in this role
  • Extremely organized to maintain accurate information when handling multiple high priority projects simultaneously.
  • Typically requires a minimum of 6+ years of related experience of which 5 years includes supporting executives.
  • Based in the San Francisco Area.

Salary Range: $157,000 - $208,000 USD
Employee pay will vary based on factors such as qualifications, experience, skill level, competencies and work location. We will meet minimum wage or minimum of the pay range (whichever is higher) based on city, county and state requirements.
