Overview

QSC seeks an experienced and self-motivated engineering technician who is interested in professional analog and digital circuitry. QSC is one of the world's leading designers and manufacturers of professional audio, video, and control systems, and we need a technician to help us move forward. This position is located in the Boulder, Colorado office.

The engineering technician will be responsible for in-depth testing and qualification of QSC products, with an emphasis on high-speed digital and small signal analog circuits. The technician will also be responsible for supporting the engineering staff with design troubleshooting, circuit repair and modification, and laboratory maintenance.

The engineering technician must have a solid understanding of electronics and electronic circuit troubleshooting. The engineering technician will also be responsible for prototyping and test fixture creation for QSC products and laboratory test gear.

Base Salary Range 54,000 - 84,000

The above reflects the pay range that QSC reasonably expects to pay for this role. This pay range also depends on various factors such as job duties and requirements, relevant experience and skills and geographic location. In addition to the base salary range, QSC offers a comprehensive package including but not limited to health benefits, 401K or Roth retirement plans, generous time off and profit sharing.
Responsibilities

Essential Functions/Core Duties

    • Maintain the digital Laboratories at QSC
    • Formal Test & Qualification of QSC Products
    • Prototyping of circuits and design of test fixtures and assemblies
    • Circuitry repair and modification (Digital and Analog)
    • Creation of a variety of mechanical fixtures
Qualifications

Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of an Associate Degree in ET, BSET, or BSEE Preferred
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in electronic circuit testing, repair and troubleshooting, and related test equipment including signal generators, analyzers, oscilloscopes, and multi-meters
  • Excellent prototyping, SMD Soldering, troubleshooting, and the ability to understand schematics and circuit board layout files required


  • Other Qualifications and Nice-To-Have's
    • Organizational Aptitude, critical thinking and decision-making, computing skills
    • A Proven performer in a dynamic work environment
    • AV Electronics Background a plus
    • Musician or other audio backgrounds a plus
    • Programming Experience (C++, Lua, Python) a plus
