Division Information
The Chemical Analysis Division (CAD) provides a diverse mix of analytical instruments and associated services to a broad range of end user markets including Safety & Security, Environmental, Food Safety, Energy, Mining, Life Science Manufacturing and Recycling, to name a few. Its instruments are deployed in the field and on the line, in challenging environments where customers put a premium on robustness, reliability and ease of use. They allow them to make decisions where they operate and streamline their businesses. CAD is a complex division with a global footprint, broad product portfolio and diverse customer base.
Position Summary:
This Electrical Engineering position will be based in our Colorado Springs facility where the team is looking for a multi-tasking, hardworking, innovative, and goal-oriented individual with strong verbal and written communication skills. Though part of a large global reach parent company, this is a small local facility often requiring a flexible and dynamically adaptive approach to achieving our goals. The successful candidate will join a multi-disciplinary engineering team that supports x-ray source and neutron generator product development and manufacturing operations support.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Embedded hardware design involving digital circuitry (microcontrollers, FPGA, memory, logic), power supply (low to very high voltage DC) and mixed signal analog circuits.
- Support the development of embedded firmware for digitally controlled products and test equipment.
- Use PCB layout tools to generate detailed electrical schematics, PCB layouts, drawings, and bill of materials (BOMs) for PCAs.
- Author engineering specifications.
- Author and conduct electrical test plans.
- Support Design for Manufacturing and Testability.
- Engage and hold design reviews.
- Verify and validate complex embedded systems.
- Resolve any compliance related details in the design.
- General proficiency in MS Office products for documentation development, presentations, and data analysis.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Show an understanding of sophisticated embedded systems.
- Experience with digital bus interfaces such as Ethernet, USB, SPI, I2C, RS232/485.
- Experience in the unique design requirements related to high voltage systems.
- Experience with printed circuit board layout for both rigid and flex PCBs preferred.
- Proficiency in Verilog and simulation toolsets preferred.
- Proficiency in at least one computer programming language (C for embedded environments preferred).
- Experience with electrical simulation using SPICE modeling.
- Experience in Windows based PC application development.
- Ability to take initiative and excel in a fast-paced environment is needed.
- Experience in SCADA platforms, such as National Instruments LabVIEW, MatLAB, etc.
Compensation and Benefits:The salary range estimated for this position is $69,000 - $80,500. This position will also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. Actual compensation will be confirmed in writing at the time of offer.

Compensation and BenefitsThe salary range estimated for this position based in Colorado is $66,000.00-$99,000.00.
