Targeted Years of Experience: 5-7 years

Job Duties:

• Center Engineer needed to drive the deployment of conventional and next generation core network technologies; including Access Unification, NGPON, ROADM, NGROADM, Ultra Long-Haul (ULH), OTN Mesh, MSPP, DXC and associated electronics.
• Partner with stakeholders to develop project plans, timelines and schedules.
• Resolve issues in a timely manner to ensure internal and external commitments are met.
• Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to recommend enhancements to increase productivity and efficiency.
• Drive and manage vendor and outsource teams to meet construction timelines.
• Experience in Project Management is required
• Proven ability to communicate effectively at multiple levels: from team members to executive management
• Proven ability to negotiate and motivate others
• Demonstrates excellent problem solving skills, self-motivation, leadership, and team orientation
• Demonstrates analytic, technical, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for Engineering and Design support of all equipment for multiple project types.
• Supporting the equipment engineering team with equipment order logistics.
• Creating Material Requests.
• Forecast future needs based on project start dates.
• Ensure proper tracking of all components.
• Monitor all equipment expenditures.
• Prepare purchase orders and ensure vendor payment.
• Equipment Procurement & Optimization.
• Oversee equipment receipt and acceptance.
• Strong Project Management and Communication skills with the ability to work closely with Team members. ICON, CCP and Canvas knowledge is a plus.
