Location: Position can be fully remote, must be able to travel to support ship trials approximately 15% of the time

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and talented engineer specializing in Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) for the maritime industry; preparing and reviewing test procedures, extensions, test reports, witness testing on equipment, participating in full ship inspections and test trials, and provide technical project leadership and management for Department of Defense programs in support of complex U.S. Navy ship designs.

Responsibilities

  • Essential responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Solving electrical and/or engineering EMI problems
  • Performing technical analyses using U.S. Navy specifications, Design Data Sheets, Technical Manuals and/or commercial rules
  • Performing quality assurance reviews of products such as analyses, calculations, reports, and drawings.
  • Supporting offsite EMI test or trial events
  • Performing shipboard inspections to validate designs and proper installation thereof.
  • Developing, documenting, and briefing interdisciplinary teams on technical specifications, analysis, calculations, and test procedures for validating system performance
  • Acting as Technical Lead on assigned projects involving the delegation of work and management of a small team of engineers.
  • Acting as a Project Manager on assigned projects involving comprehensive schedules, understanding system designs, and aiding in their evaluations, and coordinating multiple persons or teams for project success.
Required Qualifications
  • U.S. Citizenship and Security Clearance (or ability to obtain a Security Clearance)
  • B.S. Degree or Higher in Electrical Engineering or other relevant engineering discipline
  • 4+ years of experience with EMI on Naval Vessels
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of an interdisciplinary team in a fast paced, dynamic, team-oriented environment
  • Excellent MS Office skills, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Ability to travel
