Early College Online Coordinator

The Early College Online Coordinator will play a pivotal role in facilitating the success of Early College Online students and the transition of high school students from the online early college program to full-time undergraduate students at Southern Utah University (SUU). This position will require close collaboration with the SUU Office of International Affairs and the SUU Concurrent Enrollment (CE) Office to ensure seamless integration and support for students.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Maintain regular communication with students and stakeholders to provide updates and information on admissions processes, program offerings, requirements, and deadlines.
2. Provide guidance on admission requirements, prerequisites, and academic pathways to help students and/or agents make informed decisions.
3. Collaborate with the CE Office to share course schedules and academic plans with students that have been tailored to the students' goals and interests. Offer academic support and guidance to help students navigate the ECO program.
4. Develop strategies and initiatives (i.e. orientation sessions, campus tours, and transition workshops) to encourage and facilitate the transition of early college students to full-time undergraduates at SUU.
5. Refine and define processes within ECO, including marketing, communication plans, and admissions policies.
6. Use data to recommend new courses and course sequences, as needed and demanded.
7. Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Requirements:

Minimum:

1. Bachelors Degree OR will complete a bachelor's degree within 1 year of hiring.
2. Previous experience in academic advising, admissions counseling, or other student support services.
3. Familiarity with higher education policies, procedures, and best practices.

Preferred:

1. Master's Degree
