Job Description

* Supervises and schedules job activities * Schedules of multiple shifts during the week and weekends * Extensive project planning, coordination, and scheduling of subcontractors * Prepares daily worksite reports * Resolves union disputes * Material take-off * Enforces site safety at all times * Oversees daily field operations, coordinate purchases * Gives direction to employees in all areas of project assigned * Makes high level risk decisions in a timely and professional manner * Maintains a presence on the construction site * Performs other related duties as required and assigned Qualifications * Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related major * 10+ years of purchasing/estimating experience with a major heavy civil contractor * Additional work experience may be considered in substitution for a college/university degree * Local knowledge and experience with all major agencies (MTA, DEP, DOT, etc) Knowledge, Skills and Abilities * Interpersonal skills - able to work well and persuade people at all organization levels * Strong communication skills
