POSITION SUMMARY:

Plans and directs the overall design, implementation, communication, and administration of the organization's compensation, and health and welfarebenefitsprograms. Execute total rewards frameworks, analyze, and present data, and make recommendations to ensure that programs adhere to current regulations and all practices are fair and competitive. Support the organization's strategic objectives to create meaningful benefit programs that attract and retain key talent across all diversity lenses.

REPRESENTATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES:

The following responsibilities are general duties that a particular employee in this position may or may not be required to perform. The actual duties required of this position will vary.

  • Develop, implement, and administer all employee benefit plans, policies, and procedures including, but not limited to, compensation, health and welfare and 401(k).
  • Manage compensation functions, including survey participation, job evaluation, job description, job name creation and maintenance, salary structure development, stipend structure development, incentive plan design, and associated analysis.
  • Lead the compensation analysis and market pricing of roles to proactively ensure paying competitively, adjusting as needed for market trends, internal equity and engagement.
  • Develop key decision-driving collaterals for the Senior leadership team.
  • Ensure the delivery of our rewards programs are market-competitive, aligned with our business strategy, compliant and equitable.
  • Serve as the compensation and benefits subject matter expert on major initiatives, such as re-organizations, and the creation and/or refinement of career ladders and paths.
  • Manage vendor relationships with our carriers and brokers to ensure service levels are met and participant satisfaction is delivered.
  • Ensure benefit plans and pay scales are in compliance with changing federal and state regulations, including but not limited to ERISA, HIPAA, FMLA, ADA and COBRA.
  • Collaborate with HRIS team in the development of technology to support the effective administration of all plans.
  • Maintain fiduciary responsibility for the management, oversight and administration of the 401(k) and single-employer pension plans.
  • Analyze compensation policies, government regulations, and prevailing wage rates to develop competitive compensation plan.
  • Fulfill all reporting requirements of all relevant government rules and regulations, including the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA).
  • Direct preparation and distribution of written and verbal information to inform employees of benefits and compensation.
  • Manage the design and development of tools to assist employees in benefits selection, and to guide managers through compensation decisions.
  • Identify and implement benefits to increase the quality of life for employees by working with brokers and researching benefits issues.
  • Prepare the annual Total Rewards Statement for all non-union employees and manage distribution.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION:
  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 10+ years of experience in an Employee Benefits Management focused role including managing Total Rewards programs, benefits plan design, implementation, management, and administration.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with employees in a consultative manner in a complex, fast-paced work environment.
  • Strong mathematical & analytical skills with the ability to assess and act upon data analytics & reporting required.
  • Experience with consumer directed health plans and well-being programs preferred.
  • Strong understanding of state and federal laws and regulations as they apply to compensation programs
  • Able to maintain data integrity through attention to detail and accuracy, prioritize and meet aggressive deadlines, and process, manipulate, and summarize reports
  • Must be able to think strategically and execute tactical project plans.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, HRIS, or related software.
  • Completion or progress toward attainment of CEBS or CCP credential preferred.
