LexisNexis Risk Solutions offers information products on people and businesses to identify and prevent credit, fraud, identity, compliance, and other

risks. We do this through a winning combination of our vast data resources, cutting-edge technology, and analytic expertise. We seek to leverage these assets by uncovering new, high-potential US domestic and global "expansion" markets. We have created a strategic leadership position to drive grow into these areas. We are looking for a proactive professional to provide strategic and tactical direction for this initiative, including: identifying areas for potential expansion; uncovering unmet customer needs; determining the fit for LexisNexis Risk Solutions to solve these needs; defining the strategy, goals, and objectives; leading market-specific initiatives; and facilitating actions to ensure maximum revenue growth.

Responsibilities

  • Identify growth opportunities
    • Identify new customer types, new industries, and/or new use cases for LexisNexis Risk Solution's broad product portfolio.
    • Lead customer interactions to uncover industry problems, customer needs, user/buyer personas, processes, and purchase drivers for these new areas.
    • Create, prioritize, and manage the pipeline of potential growth areas.
  • Develop growth strategies
    • Provide thought leadership, strategic direction, and long-range planning to develop the LexisNexis strategy to win in the expansion markets.
    • Work within a cross functional team (finance, product development, content acquisition, marketing, sales, and other) to craft the segment strategies.
    • Communicate strategic decisions, tactical plans, and performance to senior leaders across the business.
  • Implement plans
    • Integrate competitive, business, and resource considerations to develop go-to-market plans.
    • Develop and lead minimum viable product (MVP) activity, investment requests, business cases, and/or other activities to support your strategic plans.
    • Work within a cross functional team (finance, product development, content acquisition, marketing, sales, and others) to execute the strategies.
    • Support relationships with key accounts, industry and trade associations, vendors, consultants, and other entities as necessary in the overall management of the area.

Qualifications
  • Experience
    • Experience and creativity in identifying, qualifying, and pursuing innovative growth opportunities.
    • Familiarity in the needs, gaps, and operational processes of various segments (e.g., financial institutions, telecoms, corporates, and/or other industries) and experience identifying new customers groups.
    • Expert in risk management activities on both consumers and businesses and experience across the spectrum of risk-prevention products (e.g., scores, attributes, reports, data appends, analytics, consortiums, etc.).
    • Familiar with the leading vendors of risk-prevention services.
    • Familiar with various industry players' internal systems and platforms.
    • Experience in strategic planning, product marketing, product development, product lifecycle management, and go-to-market activities.
  • Core Skills
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Excellent PowerPoint, Excel, and Word skills.
    • Proven customer-interaction skills.
    • The ability to work effectively within a matrix organization.
  • Credentials
    • 8-10 years experience.
    • BA/BS or equivalent experience. MBA appreciated.
  • Some travel (est. 10 - 20%)
