Director of Event Services

Buena Vista University has an opening for a Director of Event Services. This position will be an integral team member responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing exceptional events for our clients. Responsibilities include collaborating with clients to determine objectives and requirements for internal and external events, including meetings, conferences, and weddings. This position will coordinate services for events, including accommodations for participants, facilities, staffing, catering, displays, agendas, budgets, and services according to customer requirements.

This position requires the ability to plan large-scale events, have strong organizational skills, and ensure the accuracy of details. A bachelor's degree is required, and 3-5 years of event planning and management experience is preferred; experience in sales and/or customer service is preferred. Typical hours are Monday- Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm and availability to work nights and weekends is required.
