Director of Enterprise Applications & Data

Nature of Work

Responsible for driving the strategy and roadmap for allenterprise application solutions and associated data in support of businessgoals and processes. Plans, organizes,and executes software applications required for business operations andfinance.  This includes the support andmaintenance of existing applications and development of new technical solutionsthat are aligned with the corporate strategic plan.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage the business analysis and solution output of tangible enhancements within ERP environment and ancillary corporate system
  • Create data standards and data strategy for the business
  • Bring data to life to assist in efforts to become a data-driven culture
  • Manage the ERP platform to ensure applications are meeting business needs. Identifies opportunities to maximize value of ERP investment, and creates plans to implement suggested improvements.
  • Creates end-user support strategy for ERP platform. This includes developing the support model, training users, creating support documentation, and continuing self-help solutions.
  • Oversees the application development team to effectively develop business applications.
  • Manage application / data support function to solve ongoing user issues and facilitate training for both onboarding and continued adoption.
  • Manage data integrations between applications.
  • Manage all enterprise applications to ensure that business needs are efficiently met.
  • Develop business use cases for potential enterprise applications that solve business issues.
  • Create a support structure, architectural analysis, and contract management plan for all enterprise applications.
  • Analyzes complex business needs presented by the user community and/or clients and recommends technical solutions to meet those needs and is aligned with the overall strategic vision.
  • Stays on the forefront of technology advancements within the construction industry and networks within the user community for software applications. Proactively lead efforts to evaluate, select, and implement new technologies to enhance application portfolio.
  • Aligns with Operations and Finance Leaders to drive technology initiatives by overseeing the selection, implementation, and adoption of each application.
  • Oversight of application releases and implements effective project control by monitoring the progress of the software release.
  • Directs and prioritizes the work load of subordinate personnel.
  • Organizes and approves business requirements prior to the technical solution.
  • Participates on all hardware and software evaluations and maintains vendor relationships and contracts.
  • Directs ongoing education programs for her/his staff.
  • Perform liaison duties between users, operations, programming personnel, and vendors in the areas of systems design, modifications or trouble shooting.
  • Stays informed of new developments and technologies by reading, journals and other pertinent publications, maintaining contact with vendors, and participating in professional organizations, meetings and seminars.
  • Involved in interview and selection process of new hires and consultants.
  • Exercise initiative or, as directed, perform additional duties to meet the needs of the organization

Supervisory Responsibilities

May supervise one or more employees within the department in accordance with the organization's policies & applicable laws.

Education

A minimum of a Bachelor's degree from a four-year college/university or equivalent experience

Experience

Five to ten years or more of related work experience required.

We are a federal contractor, therefore, as of December 8th,2021 all employees must be fully vaccinated.  Medical and religiousexemptions will be considered.
