Job Description
Director, Corporate Engagement

The Corporate Engagement function at The WNET Group has been evolving to not only support fundraising for various broadcast projects but to also leverage the institutional assets beyond content to pursue more meaningful ongoing partnerships with the corporate sector. As companies' corporate responsibility mandates and marketing goals have pivoted, so has WNET's approach to our content, community engagement, and digital initiatives. We are now more uniquely positioned to identify alignments with current and prospective corporate constituents.

The Director, Corporate Engagement is responsible for creating a comprehensive, strategic and integrated corporate program to grow and sustain a robust source of revenue to advance WNET's mission and programs. The Director will build on WNET's successful track record in corporate underwriting and identify, deepen and cultivate relationships to secure gifts, grants and sponsorships across all platforms on both the local and national levels. The Director, Corporate Engagement will lead and inspire a talented team tasked with achieving ambitious revenue goals for current and future programming initiatives. The successful Director will engage closely and collaboratively with senior leadership in developing and advancing the integrated corporate programs. Specific responsibilities include:
* Conduct a thorough assessment of WNET's current corporate program to understand ROI, opportunities for revenue growth and greater efficiency, staffing requirements/configuration to optimize revenue, and business processes;
* Develop and manage a comprehensive integrated corporate program (underwriting/sponsorship and gifts/grants) with the objective of significantly growing revenue in support of WNET's full range of programs, both locally and nationally;
* Create and execute short and long range, targeted growth strategies that significantly increase revenue from the corporate sector;
* Identify key corporate partnership prospects and build and advance an actionable pipeline for support;
* Identify key corporate foundation prospects and collaborate with Institutional Giving team to build and advance an actionable pipeline for support;
* Serve as key resource for all corporate partners, prospects and contacts, establishing and maintaining long term relationships for the purpose of ongoing cultivation, solicitation and stewardship;
* Select, train, direct and motivate employees and evaluate performance;
* Work closely with Legal, Finance, Production and Communications teams to negotiate all terms of agreement for gifts, grants, and sponsorships/underwriting and multiyear collaborations and ensure compliance with local, state and Federal (FCC) governmental regulations;
* Create presentations/proposals and other fundraising materials that reflect the unique, competitive and compelling nature of WNET's assets and offerings;
* Advance WNET's diversity, equity and inclusion objectives
* Develop and monitor operational plans and budgets to ensure effective, efficient and profitable operations
* Additional duties, as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
The Director, Corporate Engagement position requires an experienced and motivated fundraising professional with a portfolio of contacts in the corporate sector who is comfortable interacting with corporate executives at all levels and able to work independently and as part of a team to reach individual, departmental and organizational goals. Additional qualifications:

* A minimum of 7 years of experience in corporate relations;
* Experience leading, managing and developing a team;
* Exceptional track record of strategic relationship management and revenue generation;
* Ability to identify donors and cultivate relationships leading to substantial commitments;
* Knowledge of NYC, national philanthropic, social and business communities;
* Proven success tapping new sources of philanthropy and partnerships.

Candidates with experience working within a database/CRM system are preferred.
