The Debt Settlement Liaison acts as the direct contact for the Debt Settlement

Agencies (DSA's) that we interact with on a regular basis at Resurgent Capital Services. They are the frontline liaison involved in, but not limited to, handling inquiries from DSA's involving identification of accounts as well as negotiating of acceptable settlement plans, reestablishing broken plans and ensuring that failed/broken plans are monitored and identified. They also are responsible for the movement of all data files including scrub lists, offers, letters and payment processing.

This role is 100% in-office at our Greenville, SC office.

Responsibilities:

  • Respond to DSA inquiries within established timeframes. Inquiries include but are not limited to processing payments, drop notices, negotiations or general account inquires.
  • Making outbound contact via Email and/or Phone to DSC's to negotiate arrangements on unsettled inventory.
  • Ensure daily workplan is met and priorities are followed.
  • Maintain established levels of productivity, efficiency and quality to ensure that company standards are met.
  • Maintain the integrity and accuracy of the account data through proper documentation of account changes and interactions with DSA contacts.
  • Ensure that new DSA's are identified and brought to the Supervisor for established contact and necessary documentation (NDA's)
  • Perform duties as assigned including daily reports
  • Monitor and maintain repayment plans for adherence to terms and report back to DSA any plans not meeting terms.
  • Alert management to any federal or state action taken against assigned DSA's or any changes in DSC's status
  • Creating and maintaining professional relationships with DSA's by distributing & monitoring inventory on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
  • Responsible for loading offers via bulk process
  • Responsible for loading payments via bulk process

*This class will start on Monday, June 10, 2024

Qualifications/Skills:
  • 1-2 Years of related experience, preferably in a call center or collection environment
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated skills in problem solving, negotiations and conflict resolution
  • Ability to communicate effectively with strong writing skills, strong organization skills, time management and a high attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced and ever-changing environment
  • Relevant experience in the credit industry desired with a clear understanding of compliance requirements related to State, Federal and FDCPA guidelines
  • Excellent work ethic and unquestionable integrity

Educational Requirements:
  • College degree a plus but not required
