As Medical Science Liaison on the a Cardiovascular Renal and Metabolic (CVRM) Team, you'll play a pivotal role in channelling our scientific capabilities to make a positive impact on changing patients' lives.

The Bio-Pharmaceuticals Business Unit (BBU) is committed to creating and executing meaningful therapeutic area and product strategies that are focused on changing the course of medicine and bringing innovative therapies to enhance the quality of life for our patients. The BBU integrates commercial, market access, medical, digital, and corporate functions to drive scientific development and commercial excellence in the core areas of respiratory, cardiovascular, renal and diabetes disease.

AstraZeneca's strategy in CVRM focuses on ways to reduce morbidity, mortality and organ damage by addressing risk factors across cardiovascular (CV) disease, diabetes and chronic kidney-disease indications. The patient-centric approach is reinforced by science-led life-cycle management programs and technologies, including early research into regenerative methods.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
The CVRM Coagulation Medical Science Liaison will serve as a key clinical liaison to emergency physicians, neurology specialists, surgeons, and clinical pharmacists treating anticoagulation reversal. The CVRM Coagulation Medical Science Liaison will be a key member of the CVRM Field Medical Affairs team, working in partnership with other CVRM Medical Science Liaisons and Field Physicians.

As a CVRM Coagulation Medical Science Liaison, you will identify and cultivate relationships with a variety of External Scientific Experts focused on bleeding reversal. You will educate the medical community on disease state and appropriate use of AstraZeneca products.

Additionally as a CVRM Coagulation Medical Science Liaison, you will deliver appropriate clinical and scientific information to support appropriate use of

AstraZeneca products in a patient focused manner; maintain expertise in disease state management, emerging therapies and the competitive landscape; capture customer insights regarding AstraZeneca and competitor products to help advise medical and commercial strategies and adhere to internal standard processes and comply with regulatory and compliance requirements.

Essential Requirements:
Advanced Clinical/Science Degree required (e.g. MD, PharmD, PhD, NP, PA-C, etc).
Excellent verbal skills
Strong presentation skills including the ability to effectively communicate medical data/concepts
Outstanding interpersonal skills
Solid understanding of Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to travel (40-60%)
Must reside in territory

Preferred Requirements:
Previous pharmaceutical industry experience or equivalent (>5 years)
Previous MSL experience working with emergency physicians, neuro specialists, surgeons, clinical pharmacists, and care-givers focused on patients needing coagulation reversal
Previous experience in field medical role
Previous experience in supporting the therapeutic areas relating to recently-launched and marketed therapies, or clinical development of treatments for bleeding reversal
Has well-established networks and active relationships with TA Area-focused KOLs
