Does working day shift Monday - Friday appeal to you? The DMV is looking for individuals who are service driven, enthusiastic, customer focused, and team oriented with a high personal standard of integrity. Under limited supervision, provides support and training to internal and external customers regarding the software applications and business processes used by the Department of Motor Vehicles.

Location: Nebraska State Office Building - Lincoln

Schedule: 8-5, M-F; flextime available
Examples of Work
Provide assistance to end users, both internal and external, with departmental business and system processes for the division regarding titles, registrations, driver's licenses and all associated functions. A portion of the time may be spent working with customers primarily by telephone. Analyze questions, information, and problems then report to lead worker and or management to resolve the problem. Train individual end users on updated system and business processes, and technical procedures. Perform all functions related to the issuance of titles, registrations, liens, specialty license plates, and permits. Receive and process division applications, forms, and daily error listings and perform vehicle record searches on microfilm and microfiche.
Qualifications / Requirements
REQUIREMENTS: Coursework/training or experience related to research, presentation, or publication in an area related to the programs or functions of the employing agency; business administration; accounting; customer service; and/ or technical support work, including use of computer software such as word processing, spreadsheets, and database management.

PREFERRED: Experience working with Microsoft Word, Excel, Windows and Chrome. Individuals who accept employment with the Department of Motor Vehicles are subject to a state criminal background check by the DMV Fraud Unit and a FBI fingerprint-based criminal history record check conducted by the Nebraska State Patrol, employment is contingent upon the results of the background check.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Skill in: operation and maintenance of equipment and tools such as computers and other office machines; facilitation to solve problems; using a variety of advisory data such as technical operating manuals, procedures, guidelines, and nonroutine correspondence; prioritizing/organizing work.

Ability to: work under stressful situations and respond to numerous customers on a daily basis using acceptable business etiquette. Must be able to adapt to new situations and program changes. Ability to learn and apply a wide range of knowledge. Ability to: communicate information/instructions to others electronically, telephonically, on paper or in person; assist end-users with varying levels of technological comprehension; follow multiple step instructions; identify and implement solutions to problems; document actions in detail; exercise judgment and decisiveness when solving problems; give needed guidance or training to customers to prevent recurrences; remain current with latest version of application(s) supported.
