Responsibilities

Provide exceptional guest service, addressing inquiries, handling complaints, and managing various tasks. Conduct opening/closing procedures, provide tours on request, adhere to food/safety protocols, assist in daily inventory, and facilitate necessary vendor access. Answer customer queries, process payments, etc. Monitor specified phones for voicemails. As needed, clean and maintain the facility's exterior and interior areas. Aid in sales showcasing knowledge of our products, programs and events. Support groups during programming/ events, managing multiple tasks simultaneously. Collaborate with the Education department when necessary. Have availability to work outside of normal business hours and holidays.

Overseeing team activities, deciding task approaches, and developing plans. Distribute information to team members and maintain task structures. Coordinate and coach host staff to meet CLC standards, collaborating effectively in a fast-paced environment. Work independently to complete tasks with minimal supervision and foster effective collaboration with manager and co-workers. Assist in ensuring that the Host Staff complies with Safe and Clean protocols, bldg. safety and security. Complete daily operational and administrative duties as assigned. Maintain a line of open communication with staff and Guest Services Manager, report any staff issues and maintenance issues to manager.

Assist with any other duties as directed by Manager. Safeguard cash, receipts, and tickets, supplying change as required and accurately managing cash handling forms and reports. Assist in overseeing ComCash, counting drawers, process credit card payments and preparing deposits while ensuring the accurate maintenance and balance of cash handling funds. Maintain PCI compliance. Fulfill manager-assigned IMAX duties, including scheduling and enabling movies, etc. as directed.

Qualifications

A high school diploma or equivalent or a post high school education.

Preferred Qualifications

Demonstrated experience in providing exceptional guest service, including handling inquiries and resolving complaints in a courteous and professional manner.

Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for interacting with guests, team members, and other departments effectively.

Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Experience in training and supervising team members, delegating tasks, and monitoring performance to ensure goals are met.

Aptitude for identifying issues, analyzing problems, and implementing effective solutions independently or collaboratively.

Accurate handling of cash, receipts, and other financial transactions, ensuring compliance with relevant protocols and regulations.

Availability to work outside normal business hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by the role.

Familiarity with point-of-sale systems, cash handling procedures, and basic computer skills for administrative tasks.

Adaptability: Willingness to assist in various tasks as directed by management, including cleaning, inventory management, and support during events.

Knowledge of Safety Protocols: Understanding of food safety standards, building safety procedures, and compliance with regulations such as PCI (Payment Card Industry) standards.

Experience with IMAX: Previous experience or willingness to learn and fulfill duties related to IMAX operations, including scheduling movies and managing equipment.

Able to meet the physical demands of this position to include good manual dexterity, periodic repeated movement, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, reaching, lift at least 16 lbs, stand and walk for extended periods of time, including the climbing and descending of stairs.
