The Institute for International Business (IIB) develops and supports global development and other efforts within the Kelley School of Business by fostering opportunities to connect our faculty and students, as well as Indiana's business and government leaders, with the global marketplace. We collaborate with other leading business schools, companies, and government organizations around the globe, all to further our students, faculty, and alumni in understanding the worldwide market.

Job Summary

Department Specific Responsibilities

  • Performs pre- and post-award grant and contract activities for the IIB ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and guidelines.
  • Participate in program planning, administrative management, budget development and management using KFS to ensure the unit's success in reaching its goals.
  • Serves as a consultant on administrative activities with internal and external collaborators and funding sources.
  • Communicates regularly with IIB Leadership and the Office of Research Administration regarding grant activity.
General Responsibilities
  • Provides financial monitoring and analysis of contracts and grants to ensure expenses are being paid according to contract.
  • Consults on and completes pre-award applications and participates in contract closeouts.
  • Performs post-award accounting of grants.
  • Interprets regulations and guidelines of program funding for standard grants and prepares reports for grant agencies.
  • Evaluates contract compliance and advises others on contractual rights and obligations.
  • Prepares bids or proposals; negotiates contract terms and participates in the determination of acceptable bids.
  • Ensures compliance with sponsor terms, university policy/procedures and federal regulations.

EDUCATION

Required
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field (or equivalent)

Working Conditions / Demands

This role requires the ability to effectively communicate and to operate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment. The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus. The person in this role must be able to perform the essential functions with or without an accommodation.

Work Hours

This position requires occasional evening and weekend availability especially in the summer for summer programs.
