ZS's Beyond Healthcare group focuses on conceptualizing, designing and implementing a wide spectrum of Digital and Analytic solutions to improve commercial and operational effectiveness for clients. We offer a wide range of services based on client needs from strategy development, roadmap definition to providing platforms and services that help clients with their on-going operations. Our team possesses deep expertise in formulating strategies, delivering on leading Digital and Advanced analytics, Business Intelligence and Platform Development to solve business problems.

The Data Strategy and Partnerships team mission is twofold: 1. Advise ZS clients with all aspects of Data Strategy (including operating models, governance, sourcing, value creation, compliance, etc.). 2: for ZS's own account, build relationships, partnerships with data providers and help practice areas build new approaches, assets and products based on innovative data.

The Data Strategy and Partnerships activity has grown tremendously over the past 4 years. We are looking for an experienced manager to lead our internal data-based asset and product development process for Consumer facing industries (e.g. CPG), in collaboration with our key practice areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain a comprehensive inventory of consumer data sources in the US and later worldwide, with active scanning in collaboration with the data concierge team in India
  • Collaborate closely with key ZS practice areas to: identify data needs, determine engagement models with data partners, and related activities that contribute to the development of new ZS offerings and solutions that leverage consumer data
  • Work with the Data Partnerships leadership to develop and execute on the consumer data strategy; coordinate with other Data Partnerships team members to ensure alignment and avoid silos
  • Initiate and cultivate relationships with diverse potential consumer data providers (traditional and emerging), at various levels, including senior executives
  • Manage day-to-day activity and communication with key consumer data partners; serve as key point of contact on all aspects to make partnerships live
  • Help define and build Data Strategy assets in collaboration with business leads
  • Serve as Subject Matter Expert to support teams in client project proposals, client discussions, thought leadership, etc., where data expertise is needed
  • Partner with ZS leaders and client teams to sell and deliver Data Strategy projects for CPG clients, including project scoping, approach definition, project management and execution, communication, people management
  • Expand awareness, knowledge and usage of consumer data within the firm; communicate use cases, facilitate training, etc.
  • Manage and collaborate with an extended team of diverse skill sets (knowledge management, technologists, business operations, etc.); Mentor/coach junior members in the team, as needed
  • Bachelor's or master's degree required, with strong academic performance in analytic and quantitative coursework
  • 6-10 years of relevant post-collegiate job experience in CPG, Retail or Food Service in a data-driven function (e.g. Insights, Category Management, Revenue Management)
  • 2+ years of consulting experience within Consumer Industries is preferred
  • Knowledge of Consumer data assets (e.g. Syndicated Point of Sale, Panel), key use cases and data suppliers
  • Self-starter, with high motivation, maturity and personal initiative
  • Demonstrated ability to build and develop strong relationships with partners and internal stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to lead project teams and develop junior people
  • Ability to collaborate with different practice areas - pick up concepts quickly and provide to diverse groups within the firm.
  • Ability to translate unstructured problems into actionable processes and approaches
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, ability to interact with and influence executives
  • Empathy, adaptability and high personal impact
  • Self-discipline for planning and organizing tasks, and delivering in an unstructured environment
ZS is a global consulting firm. Fluency in English is required; additional fluency in at least one European or Asian language is desirable.
