Position Summary

The Compliance Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management of the Teleflex Compliance Program in select business units, ensuring alignment with the 7 Effective Elements of a compliance program. The Compliance Manager is responsible for monitoring compliance with the Company's compliance policies and procedures through the execution of the Company's Auditing & Monitoring Plan. The Compliance Manager is also responsible for implementing, communicating, and institutionalizing compliance standards, processes, and procedures. This position serves as the subject matter expert for certain business units on anticorruption topics and issues and requires the ability to be a collaborative business partner, advising senior management and other employees on understanding and addressing anticorruption compliance risks and helping to develop and execute risk mitigation plans. This position will also be responsible for assisting with internal compliance investigations when necessary.

This position is in the Company's Global Corporate Headquarters in Wayne, PA.

Principal Responsibilities

• Ensure alignment of the Teleflex Compliance Program with the 7 Effective Elements of a compliance program and the Teleflex Global Corporate Compliance Program.
• Assess anticorruption compliance and ethics risks across select business units on a periodic basis, advises senior management and other employees on understanding and addressing risks, and develops and executes mitigation measures as needed in collaboration with the business.
• Communicate compliance-related information regarding identified risks with select business partners.
• Assist in developing, implementing, and improving anti-corruption policies and procedures to help ensure full compliance with legal, regulatory, accounting, and contractual requirements.
• Develop, distribute, and deliver effective training and communications in support of the Teleflex Compliance Program.
• Work with Global Compliance Monitoring and Auditing to monitor compliance with our compliance policies and procedures through execution of the Company's Auditing & Monitoring Plan.
• Ensure effective reseller management in connection with our Global Reseller Management SOP.
• Work with Global Transparency to drive compliance with HCP payment transparency reporting requirements, including establishing and implementing tracking and reporting processes, systems, and tools.
• Ensure consistency in handling of alleged violations of the Compliance Program consistent with global policies, procedures, and existing reporting tools.
• Assist with internal compliance investigations, inspections and audits as needed. Follow up on investigations to ensure recommendations have been appropriately and timely implemented.
• Promote awareness of the Teleflex Compliance Program.
• Periodically measure the effectiveness of the Teleflex Compliance Program and develop and implement appropriate recommendations for improvements.
• Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders - Legal, Clinical Medical Affairs, HR, Internal Audit, Finance, Commercial, and Supply Chain to identify, mitigate and resolve compliance matters.
• Lead cross-functional project teams as needed to implement anticorruption compliance initiatives.
• Coordinate with and report results to Commercial and Compliance management on a regular basis regarding compliance initiatives, training, auditing, monitoring results, and risk assessments.
• Participates in the development of the annual compliance budget for certain business units and ensures expenditures remain within the budgeted expectations.
• Performs other duties as assigned or required to help ensure an effective compliance program.

Education / Experience Requirements

• A bachelor's degree is required, with a degree in accounting, finance, law, or a related field being a plus.
• At least five years of corporate compliance, legal or similar experience preferably with a multinational organization similar to Teleflex.
• Familiarity with laws and regulations associated with the above risks and related controls is required.
• Certification or advanced degree a plus.

Specialized Skills / Other Requirements

• Strong sense of integrity, business transaction transparency, and the ability to balance business interests with the need to exercise independent judgment.
• Thorough knowledge of anticorruption compliance, including The 7 Effective Elements of a Compliance Program as detailed in the Federal Sentencing Guidelines.
• Organized, flexible and self-motivated, with an analytical mind. Able to gather, analyze and evaluate facts, draw meaningful conclusions and make decisions. Able to work independently, often without assistance or on-site supervision.
• Strong time management and document management skills with fine attention to detail.
• Excellent project management and process improvement skills.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively at all levels of the company, both orally and in writing.
• Strong diplomatic skills, patience, and proven ability to find creative, business-friendly solutions.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships at all levels of the organization. Able to gain the confidence, respect, and trust of Teleflex business partners through attributes such as professionalism and a positive attitude.
• Ability to maintain a flexible work schedule (able to meet the requirements of the position as needed, including the ability to work evenings and weekends, with or without advanced notice).
• Willing and able to travel (up to 45%) including international travel.
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software. Emphasis on Excel, PowerPoint, and Sharepoint.
