The role will be part of the Franchise Partner Management team within Marsh's US Affinity organization, focused on growing Marsh's presence in the commercial insurance segment. This position is a hybrid role, based in our Urbandale, IA location. Commercial Insurance Partner Manager

What can you expect?

  • Partner Managers are responsible for the growth, profitability and client satisfaction of a book of business containing complex priority accounts.
  • Partner Managers "deliver the firm" by aligning client strategies and needs to MMC's capabilities and resources, managing and developing client relationships, acting as the client's trusted advisor, pursuing new business development, and expanding and diversifying the mix of MMC products and services the client holds.
  • Partner Manager is responsible for all delivery across the client, is recognized as a subject matter expert (SME) and a senior individual contributor who manages large-scale projects, defines strategic direction with and for the client, coaches team members, and solves complex problems.
  • Partner Managers bring expertise to enable projects including internal and external skills (i.e. Project mgmt., consulting), and is able to influence and lead a team of matrixed SMEs across the organization to deliver.
  • Responsible for meeting client expectations, maintaining scope of delivery within current SOW, and meeting SLAs and quality expectations.
  • Manages scope and change control process across client.

We will count on you to:
  • Superior analytical and problem-solving skills, critical thinking

  • Industry background in commercial insurance highly preferred (underwriting, brokerage, commercial lines, product management)
  • Ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority.
  • Highly collaborative work style with ability to work in a team environment & independently and hand on experience leading project delivery in an Agile environment is strongly recommended.

What you need to have:
  • Bachelor's degree with 5-10 yrs. of work experience
  • At least 3+ years of project/ program management experience working with complex programs.
  • At least 3 years of direct client management experience, preferably with large clients
  • Consulting experience and commercial insurance experience.
