Responsible for performing and providing support functions for manufacturing. Produces material on compounding lines and in blenders, with a good understanding of machine functions and settings, use of AS400, assist lead operators to make any machine adjustments and housekeeping. Has responsibility of weighing, packing and ticketing material to be blended and shipped. Promotes, practices and supports safety. Suggests innovative ways of process improvements. Assist in running trial lots.

  • Operation of the extrusion, compounding line, blenders; on call during off days.
  • Extrudes and blends for a quality and consistent start-up and finished product.
    • Weighs and tickets material that has been produced and blended.
    • Maintains proper levels in blenders and containers.
    • Runs extrusion line and blending equipment.
    • Maintains line for performance.
    • Screens material at Line and Blender to ensure 1st quality pellets.
    • Production rate of requirement of 350 pounds per hour or 230 pounds per man-hour.
    • Has knowledge of job function procedures. Knowledge of AS400.
  • Task performed:
    • Material handling of resin and pigments.
    • Lift Truck operations
    • Weighing and ticket making
    • Gathering QC material
    • Staging of production and finished goods.
  • Shipping
    • Weighing and labeling properly.
    • Packing material
    • Staging for shipment.
  • Attend any job-related training deemed necessary by supervision
  • Follow all established standard operating procedures
  • Perform general housekeeping duties as necessary
  • Perform other tasks assigned by management
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Operations in a continuous processes manufacturing environment. Communication skills. Understand the principles of process control to insure consistent product quality
