JobSummary: TheLevel 1 Certification Engineer will assist with the development of aircraftproduct certification data; assist with testing; maintain certification datafiles; and assist with tracking progress to ensure certification projectsmaintain schedule and budget as well as adhere to FAA, customer and Companystandards.

Essential Job Duties:

1.Workwith more senior certification engineers to review customer statements of workto develop certification requirements matrix for aircraft projects.

2.Assistwith preparation of preliminary cost estimates, budgets, and implementationschedules.

3.Producesubstantiation data, test plans, test reports, certification plans and otherseat certification data in accordance with design documentation, regulatoryrequirements and Company standards and with guidance from senior engineers.

4.Assistwith the appropriate build up of test articles, and assist with seatcertification testing.

5.Reviewproject certification data for completeness and compliance to applicationregulatory requirements.

6.Assistwith obtaining acceptance and approval of design and certification data withaircraft OEM's and FAA.

7.Participatewith certification aspects of technical coordination and design review meetingswith customers, aircraft OEM's other stakeholders.

8.Expandknowledge and expertise on aircraft development and testing techniques, FAAcertification and the aerospace industry, in general.

9.Coordinatewith customers (internal and external), major manufacturers, suppliers, TIMCOcorporate and co-workers to promote and support the Company's interests.

10. Coordinate effectivelywith management, other departments, TIMCO corporate and co-workers to implementand monitor strategic company and departmental initiatives.

11. Support and enforceCompany policies and procedures.

Secondary Duties:

Perform all other duties and projects asassigned by the Manager ofCertification or Director of Certification.

Accountable to the Manager of Certification.

Job Qualifications:

Minimum:

1.BSdegree in engineering or related scientific field. An equivalent level of experience may besubstituted.

2.Mustbe able to demonstrate the ability to learn and apply the scientific method tocertification.

3.Mustbe able to create, check, interpret and analyze technical data.

4.Mustbe computer literate and be able to demonstrate proficiency with MicrosoftOffice programs.

5.Mustbe a self starter, highly motivated, able to learn quickly, and work underpressure with a minimum level of supervision.

6.Musthave effective written and verbal communication skills, and be able to read,write, and understand the English language.

7.Mustbe able to travel both domestically and internationally. (10%)

8.Mustbe detail oriented and have good organization, time management and leadershipskills, and be able to work effectively in team environments and lead teams.

Preferred:

1.Basicproficiency with CAD programs (specifically AutoCad and Solidworks) and finiteelement analysis (FEA).

PhysicalRequirements:

1.Mustpossess ability to maneuver around airplanes (i.e. climbing stairs, on workstands, etc.) and in confined areas (i.e. cargo compartments, fuel tanks, E/Ebays, etc.).

2.Mustbe able to sit and work efficiently at a computer for extended periods of time.

3.Normalor corrected hearing and vision are required.

4.Normalduties involve filing as well as typical office duties that involve stretching,reaching, and stooping with lifting typically limited to 10-20 lbs. maximum

5.Mustbe able to occasionally work in an industrial environment subject to extremetemperatures and loud noises.

6.Mustbe able to work assigned schedule with minimal absences.
