Our team is growing, and we are seeking to fill a number of key positions within our organization including this opportunity at Dynamic Dental Solutions Dental Lab in Jacksonville, FL for a Full-Time CAD/CAM Technician II.

The regular hours for this position are from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, and subject to change from time to time.

Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions of the Position:

  • Read prescriptions, examine materials in pan, and make sure case is scheduled accurately according to the prescription.
  • Train to scan and design Crown and Bridge cases to create 3D virtual models utilizing 3-Shape technology with the goal of meeting production standard of 18 scans per hour operating 2 scanners.
  • Scan crown & bridge cases and import I.O.S. Scans.
  • Enter patient information and scan stone models to create 3D virtual model.
  • It is the dental technician’s job to ensure all steps are followed, in order, to insure consistent, accurate scanning results.
  • Enter every case with proper material and tooth number.
  • Load information into the computer – patient name, pan number, type of crown, shade to create a file for design or print process.
  • Check all cases so that dies are down, and cutting tools are used to cut off model scans correctly.
  • Verify the scan is correct and materials have been entered in correctly.
  • Adjust settings accordingly to product types.
  • Calibrate scanners appropriately.
Skills and Abilities Required: 
  • Must have basic computer skills.
  • Knowledge of tooth anatomy.
  • Ability to articulate according to Rx
  • Ability to identify major implant systems.
  • Identify margins through Impressions
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination
  • Strong ability to read, listen, comprehend, retain and execute on written and verbal instructions
  • High level of organizational skill with the ability to prioritize work
  • Strong spatial ability, good eye hand coordination, excellent perception skills and superior attention to details.

  • Technical Knowledge

Minimum Education and Experience Required:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Must have 12 months of experience as a CAD/CAM Technician, or specified skills required for CAD/CAM Department or be a Recognized Graduate (RG) by National Board for Certification in Dental Laboratory
  • OSHA/Bloodborne Pathogen/ General Safety.
  • On the job training.

Physical Requirements:
  • Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, and/or reach.
  • Regularly required to exhibit fine motor skills and/or perform repetitive motions using both arms and hands grasping, gripping, pinching, lifting, and carrying. Constantly lifting & carrying 0-10 lbs.  Occasionally lifting and carrying 26-50 lbs.
  • Read and interpret prescriptions and other required documentation.
  • Ability to communicate technical information effectively.
  • Vision capabilities: depth perception, attention to detail, and/or color.
