Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Perform all work safely and with the utmost concern for the safety of self and other employees.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work environment as directed by plant policies and procedures.
  • Must have the ability to work overtime as required.
  • Must actively practice and abide by all company Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and general hygiene regulations as outlined in the employee handbook.
  • Follows steps for assembling totes following plant quality standards for liners and food protection.
  • Organizes the work area where totes are staged and or filled allowing effective product flow.
  • Works closely with LTO to add back totes following plant quality and operational procedures.
  • Operates equipment in the area such as frozen graders, product conveyor and shaker systems.
  • Makes changes to frozen graders as directed.
  • Must be able to work weekend cleanup.

Education or Experience - You will receive on the job training of 1 to 45 days

Mathematical Skills - You must have the ability to properly complete addition, subtraction, multiplication and division in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Reasoning Ability - Posses the ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions. Have the ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit and walk through the plant. The employee is required to use hands to work on computers and reach with hands and arms to check equipment, take readings and lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The employee will be required to stand, walk, bend at the knees, lean forward climb stairs, work on ladders. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision.

The employee's work environment is primarily in a cold environment. There will be time allotted for warm-up breaks while performing the duties of this job. The employee will be required to work in the plant where he/she may occasionally be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, toxic or caustic chemicals, and outside weather conditions. The noise level in the plant is usually loud. Hearing protection is required and provided by the company.

This compensation is specific to this position and takes into account a number of variables. Actual compensation may be higher or lower in the range based on various factors, including, but not limited to a candidate's work location, job duties, experience and expertise. A reasonable hourly estimate of the range for this role based on the variables previously mentioned is: $19.57
