Description: Our client is currently seeking a Bioprocess Lead

•B.S. in Chemical/Bioprocess Engineering or related technical discipline and 7 years of direct relevant operations experience in an up stream Biomanufacturing/Fermentation environment, OR

•Master's degree in Chemical/Bioprocess Engineering or related technical discipline and Minimum of 5 years of direct relevant operations experience in an up stream Biomanufacturing/Fermentation environment, OR

•Doctorate in Chemical/Bioprocess Engineering or related technical discipline and Minimum of 5 years of relevant operations management experience in an up stream Biomanufacturing/Fermentation environment.

•Understanding and command of aspects of biotechnology, bio-production and associated technologies including fermentation

•Exceptionally strong understanding and working knowledge of stainless steel, steam in place (SIP) bioreactors, in the 10L to 100,000L range.

•Thorough understanding of industrial microbial culture techniques, aseptic techniques working knowledge of GMP systems.

•Experience working with various fermentation models (e.g. batch, continuous, fed-batch). And with various types of reactor design.

•Strong mechanical, electrical and instrumentation knowledge of equipment, using P&IDs, equipment manuals, specifications, SOPs, and be able to use proper judgement when taking corrective actions during equipment malfunctions.

•Experience with Quality, Safety, Food Safety, Environment, GMP's and HACCP Programs.

•Must be a self-starter/start up experience a plus

•Hands on (DOE, technical notes etc)
