Description: Our client is currently seeking a Billing Support Specialist at Miami, FL 33136

Job description:

The Billing Specialist for Customer Billing, Level 1 is responsible for a variety of tasks including monitoring and tracking of all accounts for assigned clients. Assigned work may include follow-up on Medicaid claims. This position is responsible for accurately interpreting hospital actions and communicating trends and issues to management.

• Ensures billing inventories for all assigned clients is managed to the process activity metrics and financial goals as set by the company.

• Responsible for monitoring for the timely and accurate billing of all accounts for assigned clients.

• Responsible for checking and entering Medicaid eligibility information into the client systems.

• Responsible for monitoring denial management of all assigned claims.

• Responsible for reviewing payments to ensure accurate payment has been received.

• Ensures proper and timely notes are documented in Change Healthcare system and client system as needed.

• Keeps Supervisor aware of any issues that may be impacting claims resolution.

• Helps Supervisor to build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships.

• Responsible for communicating work activity to client and supervisor.

• Assists supervisor in preparing status reports for clients.

• May participates with Supervisor in customer meetings to discuss billed inventory with a focus on performance reporting and issue resolution.

• Helps Supervisor to build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships both with Customers and Internal Teams.

Requirements:

• Minimum high school diploma or GED, some college preferred.

• Thorough knowledge of Medicaid HOSPITAL billing guidelines; experience with Medicaid billing in Florida is desired.

• Minimum 1 years of experience in billing and denial management. Preferably with Medicaid and in a hospital setting.

• Minimum 1 year of experience in Medicaid/Government AR follow-up.

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

• Excellent customer service skills

• Must be very attentive to details.

• General knowledge of Microsoft Office

• Strong follow-up and organizational skills

• Ability to work collaboratively within a team and with limited supervision.

• Ability to think strategically.

• Ability to follow HIPPA policies and confidentiality processes.
