The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Neuroscience is recruiting a full-time Behavioral Health Specialist to join our team supporting UC Health's multispecialty Weight Loss Center. Our behavioral health team focuses on the psychological assessment and behavioral treatment of patients seeking weight loss treatment, including bariatric surgery, endoscopic interventions, weight loss medications, and lifestyle intervention. The ideal candidate will also have demonstrated interest and experience in providing evidence-based psychological care in a multidisciplinary weight management team. The UC Health Weight Loss Center is a fast paced, intellectually stimulating, innovative and environment in which providers and staff provide great support for each other. Academic rank, if qualified, will be granted commensurate with experience.Essential FunctionsMaster's or Doctoral Degree in Clinical Psychology, Clinical Social Work, Clinical Counseling or related degree. PhD or PsyD is ideal.
Required Trainings/CertificationsIndependently licensed or license eligible in respective discipline in the State of Ohio.
Required ExperienceOffice environment / bariatric wheelchairs and furniture/ no other specific unusual physical or environmental demands.
