ECS is seeking a Astrodynamics Engineer to work in our Warner Robins, GA office. Please Note: This position is contingent upon [contract award OR additional funding].

Job Description:

ECS is seeking a highly qualified Astrodynamics Engineer with an active Secret Clearance to work on our project at Robins Air Force Base, GA. The selected candidate will be able to communicate effectively (written/verbal), possess strong interpersonal skills, be self-motivated, and be innovative in a fast-paced environment. Must hold and maintain a valid Secret Security Clearance. The candidate will be involved with product sustainment, product development, lab support, and engineering services in support of the Operational Flight Program (OFP), Test Program Set (TPS) development and support, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance software and Mission Support (MS) business lines. Candidate will assist in evaluating current systems, planning of large-scale system projects, purchasing, installing and support of network communications, including LAN/WAN systems To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • The selected candidate will be expected to perform at a Senior/SME level with minimal to no assistance from junior level organic staff.
  • Develops plans, coordinates work teams and provides technical support to project team members.
  • Create software modeling, simulations, and analysis of astrodynamics.
  • Create mission designs, trajectory designs, orbital maneuvers, orbit estimations, space debris collision, and avoidance analysis.
  • Conduct software programming and/or advanced level scripting.

Required Skills:
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance.
  • US Citizen.
  • BS in Physics, Computer Science, or Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in software modeling, simulation, and analysis of astrodynamics to include mission design, trajectory design, orbital maneuvers, orbit estimations, space debris collision, and avoidance analysis.
  • 1 Year experience in software programming and/or advanced level scripting.
Desired Skills:
  • 5+ Years' experience working on DoD programs is highly desired.
  • Interest in new technologies and the ability to adopt to those new technologies.
