Shearman & Sterling's growing bi-coastal Intellectual Property Litigation team is looking for a junior/mid-level associate with experience litigating patent cases. This position can be located in either our New York, Bay Area, or Austin offices.
Requirements include strong academic qualifications and license to practice in New York, Texas, and/or California. Preferences include (i) electrical engineering, computer science, or a related technical background; (ii) admission to practice before the USPTO; and (iii) experience litigating in Texas federal courts and/or before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board. If you are hired, we will require you to prove that you have received the COVID-19 vaccine or have a valid religious or medical reason not to be vaccinated.
Shearman & Sterling's compensation is aligned with the standard market-rate salary scale. The good faith, annualized salary range for this position is $215,000 to $415,000 depending on the candidate's overall experience and other job-related factors permitted by law such as, education, training, other responsibilities. The annual salary range listed is just one component of Sherman & Sterling's total compensation and benefits package which includes a discretionary bonus, paid leave, life, health, accident and disability insurance; and a 401(k) plan.
