RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce's client, a leading Higher Education institution, seeks an outstanding Payroll Professional in the role of Associate Director of Payroll.Summary:In this role, the Associate Director of Payroll will be responsible for planning, directing and supervising all activities related to payroll and ensuring that payrolls are processed timely, accurately and in compliance with applicable government regulations and contractual obligations. ADP is the payroll servicer and there are five unions, each of which has an underlying collective bargaining agreement which defines compensation for its members. The Associate Director of Payroll will be expected to provide insight on opportunities to enhance service and efficiency with regard to organizational structure, business processes and use of technology. This position offers a beautiful work environment, amazing benefits including tuition options. The job will be in office 5 days per week for the first 6 months, at which time hybrid options will be available.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • CPP designation is preferred
  • 7+ years of Payroll experience is required
  • Prior supervisory experience is necessary
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Knowledge of best practices of payroll operations and business processes
  • Experience managing payroll in a multiple union environment
  • Strong computer skills for using Windows, Microsoft Excel, Word and Email
  • Project Management experience is preferred
  • Extensive experience in Payroll - ADP is preferred
  • Knowledge of higher education or not-for-profit industry a plus


The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.

Note: Pay is not considered compensation until it is earned, vested and determinable. The amount and availability of any compensation remains in Kforce's sole discretion unless and until paid and may be modified in its discretion consistent with the law.
