Job Description:

Reporting to the Director, the Assistant Director of Admission, Campus Visit Experience is responsible for completing admission and recruitment duties in support of the Undergraduate Admission Department and the University's strategic admission goals and objectives. The Assistant Director oversees the daily campus visit experience, managing the daily in person and virtual tour visit experiences, serving as a host for visitors, overseeing all visit logistics, presenting information sessions and presentations, training other staff for counselor-of-the-day duties, and ensuring a positive tour experience. The Assistant Director is responsible for managing a small, domestic recruitment and application review territory, while employing excellent project management and communication skills, and adaptability.

Campus Visit Experience Oversight

  • Oversee the in-person and virtual tour experience ensuring an excellent experience for all visitors, welcoming visitors, presenting information sessions, organizing tours, creating and managing the COD assignments, and training other staff on COD duties and expectations.
  • Manage the Group Visit and Targeted Group Visit processes which include outreach and communication with groups, logistics and planning, and follow-up.
  • Manage the Speaker's Bureau initiative which includes outreach and communication with internal and external community members, logistics, planning and follow-up.
  • Collaborate with the Assistant Director responsible for the Shadow Visit process.

Student Staff Oversight

  • Work in collaboration with another team member to staff the Office with the appropriate student staff needed for the phone zone, tour program and events. This includes recruiting, training, scheduling and hiring/payroll.


Territory Management

  • Plan and execute fall and spring recruitment for assigned territories.
  • Run reports and analyze data to plan a strategic recruitment effort including high school visits, college fairs, visits to CBOs, meetings with independent counselors, and regional events.
  • Serve as the primary contact for prospective students and families, as well as counselors from assigned territories.
  • Read applications from assigned territories, recommend admission decisions in accordance with established policies and guidelines, present at admission committee, and perform follow-up communication with applicants from assigned territories.

University Representation

  • Maintain knowledge and understanding of national trends in higher education, particularly in the areas of admission and enrollment management.
  • Present on admission- and/or University-related topics as assigned to various constituencies.

Committee Participation and Collaboration

  • Participate in University committees, as assigned.
  • Collaborate with University faculty and staff as it relates to admission events, application review, and/or admission communications

Additional Functions

  • Assist in the support and preparation of all enrollment management events.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Minimum of two years of admission experience.
  • Excellent public speaking and presentation skill.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and customer service orientation with the ability to convey and obtain information among a variety of audiences such as students, parents, alumni and staff.
  • Excellent time management skills, ability to prioritize multiple projects, meet deadlines and adept at shifting skills to accommodate changing priorities with the ability to work in a fast paced environment.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Valid driver's license and the ability to drive in city and highway traffic.
  • Current Passport and ability to travel 10-20% of the time.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed

Preferred Qualifications

  • CRM experience.
  • SLATE experience.
  • Proficiency in a second language.

$48,296 - $55,000
