SUMMARY

The ASAP Data Analyst positionis responsible for the AviationSafetyActionProgramdata collection, processing, record keeping, documents management, and database systems management. This position reports directly to the Safety Programs Manager and will serve as aresource for allAmerijetssafety programs as assigned.This position will be actively involved invariousaspects ofthe Safety departmentsSafety Management Systemprojects and duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESinclude the following, but not limited to:


  • Assist the Manager inscheduling,holding,and closing monthlyERCmeetings

  • Serves as the ASAP Submission Analyst and is responsible for the tracking, categorizing, and processing of all ASAP reports and action items

  • Prepares analyses of all ASAP reports and advises the ERC of safety trends for use in corrective action recommendations


  • Performs continuous analysis of ASAP data to identify trends, safety concerns, and effectiveness of safety risk controls

  • Serves as the primary focal for tracking, analyzing, and communicating ASAP metrics

  • Maintains good working relationships within the company, the FAA, and with union representatives

  • Provides inputs/updates to ASAP program requirements and procedures based on FAA guidelines

  • Participate in investigation ofevents,and incidentsas related to voluntary disclosures


  • Safety Programs support, as required:


  • Process reports

  • Document control

  • Support Safety platform users with system and process training


  • Serves as a safety promoter throughout the organization


  • Work with management to prioritize business and information needs based on analysis


QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION and/or CERTIFICATION:

  • Associates Degree in related field or equivalent experience/trainingrequiredBachelor’s Degreepreferred

  • Prefera FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate or FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certificate

  • Prefer accredited training in Aviation safety (SMS, Investigations, Human Factors)


REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE:

  • Knowledge, training, or experience in one group covered by ASAP: Pilotor Mechanicor extensive ASAP experience

  • Subject matter expertise on the Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP) as detailed in FAA Advisory Circular 120-66, the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), and other FAA guidance

  • Knowledge of safety reporting in general and Safety Management System (SMS)


REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience withdata tracking and trending

  • 2 years Part 121 airline operationsor equivalent military experience

  • Microsoft Suite experience


SKILLS and/or ABILITIES:

  • Must be able to handle confidential information with discretion

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deliverables in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to confidently lead meetings which include members from the FAA, union(s), and company managers or directors


  • Excellent communication and presentation skills (e.g., verbal, written, and listening)

  • Detailed oriented and highly organized, with ability to multi-task and work independently with limited guidance in a fast-paced environment

  • Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills
