Summary:

Manage workplace sales staffing, process and success for selected Suddath markets enlisted in the workplace solutions commercial support program in order to assist and empower Suddath branches to become active in the commercial market to produce local revenue for the branches.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Manage dedicated commercial salespeople within Suddath markets and to build a well- defined model for support to the branch that will promote local commercial growth and success.

Effective collaboration and transparency with network operations leadership

Establish a national rhythm within commercial sales community including: weekly sales meetings, weekly individual accountability sessions, monthly individual and program performance reporting, national stack rankings, annual performance reviews and annual sales summit

Develop market strategies based on market dynamics and branch strengths

Targeted and ongoing sales recruiting and retention, hiring and training

Direct sales management to "develop, measure, mentor, manage"

Implementation of standard job descriptions, production and compensation metrics

Direct business development support

Indirect marketing support (materials and targeted campaigns)

Maintain overall brand consistency and synchronization with Workplace Solutions strategies

Direct and indirect RFP support

Direct and indirect presentation, relationship and closing support including training and demonstrations of proprietary software programs

Incorporate Workplace Solutions services for market differentiation and high potential relationships

Comprehensive integration of Suddath standard CRM application; ensure team is 100% CRM compliant

Develop local and national strategies for coordinated Trade Association involvement

Job Skills Required:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external customers

Ability to demonstrate initiative and to work independently; excellent leadership, interpersonal and presentation skills

Excellent financial management, planning skills and technology orientation

Must be able to travel to branches and work locally with the sales team up to 75% of the time

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education/Experience:

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; three to five years of sales management in a related business to business field, including hiring, managing and measuring an out-of area sales force; experience in office moving, commercial furniture sales, commercial real estate services or project management is preferred.

Language Ability:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Math Ability:

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of MS Word, PowerPoint, MS Excel and relevant CRM applications.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Directly supervises 6-12 employees in the Commercial Sales Division. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
