Job Summary

In this role you will actively lead android application projects. Develop unit tests, guide testing strategy and play an active role in ensuring quality through the development lifecycle. Partner with leadership team(s) to balance business needs with the best technical solutions. You'll make an impact by researching, analyzing, designing, proposing, and delivering solutions that are appropriate for the business and technology strategies, and it will be imperative that you are staying well versed in the ever-changing technology stack of industry leading mobile development strategies. Fully responsible for the development and delivery of Android development projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Leads technical design, development, code reviews, and product feature enhancements to interactive web based or mobile applications.
  • Develops new Android applications from scratch and upgrading existing ones.
  • Makes architectural decisions as part of an Android development team.
  • Displays ownership of all technical aspects of highly efficient, user-friendly interfaces.
  • Provides thought leadership in technical areas of expertise to promote a best of breed culture
  • Builds modular components that can be shared across applications.
  • Writes high quality code, ensuring excellence with unit tests when appropriate.
  • Accounts for the conversion of product requirements into an architecture and design that will become the blueprint for the solution being created.
  • Leads conceptual and technical solution design for assigned features improvements to meet business requirements while ensuring compliance with established architectural principles, standards, and processes.
  • Matches business process and automation requirements to the capabilities.
  • Liaisons with information architects and designs to finalize the usability and feasibility of interface designs.
  • Creates seamless processes for the team by establishing standards and frameworks for effective and efficient integration.
  • Communicates complex technical issues in a clear, simple understandable way.
  • Manages release cycle, source control, and deployments.
  • Performs hands-on configuration and development as needed, and roll-up your sleeves to resolve technical issues.

Principal Architect Responsibilities

  • Leads and mentors small size group of mobile developers.
  • Advises and works along side scrum masters to coordinate project planning.
  • Conducts code reviews to ensure compliance with Hypergiant's quality standards.

Qualifications

The requirements listed below are representative of the qualifications necessary to perform the job.

A. Education and Experience

  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, MIS, or similar area of study, or in lieu of degree, High School Diploma or GED (accredited) and four (4) years of relevant experience.

Ten (10) years of previous experience (in addition to education requirement).

B. Preferred Experience

  • 5-8 years of experience as an Android Developer
  • Java, Kotlin, and Android Studio
  • Architecture documentation and roadmap exposure.
