The Aluminum Welder is responsible for tack weld aluminum enclosures, chassis, heat exchangers in preparation for dip-brazing for the Aerospace and Defense industries. Assemble components, prepare fixture, and perform all aspects of dip brazing process.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Strive towards a culture of proactive safety.
• Tack welding of precision aluminum components for the dip brazing process.
• Rework of parts as needed.
• Mechanical assembly of components, fixturing and dip brazing of customer components.
• Precision mechanical assembly of complex assemblies using internal drawings, shop travelers, set-up sheets and measuring tools.
• Dip Brazing, pre and post braze straightening.
• Chemical cleaning of components.
• Preventative maintenance and equipment calibration.
• Other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE:

• High School Diploma, or General Education Degree (GED).
• Previous manufacturing and welding experience.
• Strong verbal communication.
• Ability to follow safety regulations and take directions.
• Thin wall aluminum welding.
• Ability to read work instructions and blueprint drawings.
• Inspection equipment usage and understanding of tolerances.
• Fine mechanical assembly and attention to detail.
• Professional Certification (e.g. an AWS welding certificate) is a plus.
