Position Responsibilities:

Ø Prepare correspondence, reports, and a variety of technical documents.

Ø Process evaluation reports and acceptance criteria for publication.

Ø Enter and update information in electronic databases and record-keeping systems.

Ø Prepare materials for meetings and provide records of meetings.

Ø Assist managers and technical staff on administrative projects.

Ø Answer phones and direct calls to appropriate parties.

Ø Answer questions from clients and potential clients.

Ø Prepare, organize, maintain, and retrieve files and records.

Ø Perform other tasks as may be directed by the Sr. Manager of Building Product Services.

Essential Skills and Education / Experience:

Ø Bachelor's degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Ø Familiarity with word processing, spreadsheet/database, and desktop publishing software, and a strong aptitude for mastering advanced computer software programs.

Ø At least five years of secretarial and office administrative experience, preferably with an engineering or architectural firm.

Ø Ability to organize files and records.

Ø Minimum word processing speed of 65-70 wpm.

Ø Some positions may require editing/proofreading skills and advanced knowledge of desktop publishing.

Preferred Indications of Competence:

Ø Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.

Ø Ability to work as part of a team to deliver professional services.

Ø Ability to manage multiple priorities.

Ø Provides excellent customer service.
