The Department of Teacher Education and Administration seeks to improve educational practice through the generation of knowledge and to prepare professionals who support students in ways that are effective, educational, and caring. Our focus is on the preparation of highly competent educators, educational researchers, and administrators who employ current theory and research as they fill these important roles. The department also provides service to educational institutions, governmental agencies, and practitioners at all levels. Of particular interest to the College of Education are candidates who are committed to improving people's lives through powerful learning, emotional wellness, physical health, civic engagement, and education that sustains multilingual and cultural assets

The Department of Teacher Education and Administration seeks qualified individuals for its Adjunct Instructor pool and welcomes applicants at any time. This posting is for the Fall 2023, Spring 2024 and Summer 2024 semesters. The specific courses involved may vary from semester to semester and openings to teach these courses develop on a periodic basis, depending on department teaching needs.

Work assignments associated with teaching graduate courses whose duties may include 5000 and 6000 level courses

A doctoral degree in the appropriate field and at least 18 semester hours in the appropriate field are required to be considered for teaching graduate level courses.

Higher education teaching experience.
Experience with online/hybrid instruction.
Experience with culturally and/or linguistically diverse populations like those found in Texas.
Earned doctoral degree.
