About this role:

The finance team is seeking a key contributor to support revenue recognition (ASC 606) for contract review, month-end close process, journal entry, and schedule preparation. The Accounting Manager will also oversee and perform other general accounting functions. This position reports and works closely with the Controller along with others in the finance organization supporting the analysis and reconciliation of accounts as well as developing and implementing accounting policies, procedures, and controls.

What you will do:

  • Key contributor within the accounting department, with focus of revenue along with other general accounting functions.
  • Perform technical accounting research pertaining to revenue recognition to translate contract language into revenue recognition accounting treatment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to determine appropriate treatment of complex sales transactions.
  • Perform month-end, quarterly and year-end close including preparation of financial/management reports.
  • Perform and document SOX internal controls over assigned areas to ensure effectiveness of controls over transactions and reporting.
  • Assist in the preparation of internal and external audit and deliverables.
  • Identify opportunities and implement solutions that will result in greater efficiency and accuracy for the monthly close process.
  • Collaborate with the accounting team to support overall department goals and objectives.

What you need to succeed:
  • Team player with a strong work ethic and excellent communication skills.
  • Proven ability to interpret and apply accounting guidance and prepare formal, well-supported, memo's and supporting analyses, specifically for ASC 606.
  • Comfortable multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or related field.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • A vast understanding of US GAAP.
  • Completed CPA.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to learn and understand financial accounting systems/software.
  • 2+ years of experience at public accounting firm a plus.
