508 Compliance Tester

Salary: $40.00 USD Hourly - $42.00 USD Hourly
Description: The Judge Group is currently seeking a 508 Compliance Tester to support a DHS project. This position is remote, but requires candidates live within the DC metro region.

Functional Responsibilities:

Overall 508 Testing:

• Responsible for planning, strategizing, and delivering 508 testing.
• Design, develop, evaluate, and update test scenarios, plans, and procedures.
• Collaborate closely with project managers and stakeholders to understand product specifics and create corresponding test strategies.
• Conduct manual 508 compliance testing.
• Serve as a subject matter expert, providing 508 expertise for complex software/hardware applications.
• Thoroughly test software to ensure proper operation and defect-free performance.
• Ability to manipulate test data in SQL server databases.
• Execute SQL unit testing.
• Experience with submitting API requests through Postman.
• Familiarity with testing in AWS/cloud environments.

Requirements:

508 Certification:

• Must be a certified 508 tester, DHS Trusted Tester preferred

Education:

• BS/BA degree.

Experience:

• 3-5 years of hands-on manual testing experience.
• Familiarity with Jira is a plus.

Quality Assurance Knowledge:

• Sound understanding of quality assurance methods and procedures.
• Familiarity with full life cycle development processes.

Communication and Organizational Skills:

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Effective project planning abilities.

Technical Aptitude:

• Ability to identify and resolve problems.
• Interpret technical procedures.
• Verify data transfer between components.

Software Proficiency:

• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio).
• Superior technical writing, presentation, and documentation skills.
• Attention to detail and follow-through.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
